June R Hill Photography

JRH Photography is the website of published award winning photographer June Hill, and features a stunning array of her botanical photographic art works as well as some other original pieces.

June Hill has always had an artist eye, having dabbled with fine arts and through the creation of wonderful vibrant gardens with her late husband Tony Hill, which proved the perfect environment for her subject.

It wasn't until her retirement though that June discovered a rather untapped talent for photography. Tony had always been a keen photographer and retirement gave the opportunity to give this interest time. Both enjoyed participating and learning new skills at their local photography club.

Whilst Tony came to specialise in photographic production techniques and a passion for landscape photography, it proved ironic that perhaps the more originally artistic eye proved to be June's.

June is now a confident established published photographer specialising in innovative and traditional interpretations of some of nature's most beautiful creations as well as its strangest or even overlooked wonders.

Her work has an incredibly vivid look often reminiscent of some of the early botanical drawings of the 18th and 19th century. Every work is carefully crafted to capture a perfect balance of light, colour and texture.

We hope you enjoy the works and studies presented on this special website which we have created to recognise a talented woman who reminds us all that it is never too late to be brilliant.

June's botanical photographs have been published in Gardeners' World Magazine, including calendar covers for 2012 and 2014. Find out more on the news page.
